I called Glenco a week

I called Glenco a week ago and explained my problem. He promised to have my fireplace fixed before Christmas. At 1pm on the 21st Jimmy the tech shows up and had it fixed in less than an hour. He was pleasant and assured me he could have it fixed. He put down a moving blanket to protect the hardwood floors and got to work. I would highly recommend everyone who has an issue with their fireplace to call Glenco.

Colby came out today to service the 2 gas fireplace units that Glenco installed for us when we built the house. After inspecting the units, cleaning, & resetting the insulation, rock, and logs, he made sure that we were clear on how to operate the units safely & efficiently, and invited our questions. What a very pleasant experience ! Good customer service is hard to find…..in this case, it was EXCELLENT customer service. Our thanks to Colby. We highly recommend Glenco to others.

Nothing but good to say about Glenco and its employees . From buying, installation, service work and questions couldn’t ask for more.

There are 2 parts to

There are 2 parts to this review. 1. Buying . . . We live in a log home that had a pre-fab fireplace built in. We wanted to put in a wood burning insert. I got prices from Greenville and Asheville and then decided to get one more estimate, so I contacted Glenco. They gave me an estimate, but then informed me they wouldn’t install it. Why not? Because my pre-fab fireplace was not rated for an insert, and even though it would probably be safe, if the house burnt down, the insurance company wouldn’t pay. I was told I needed to have the pre-fab removed including the rock facing on the fireplace, and a zero tolerance wood burning stove put in the space and the rock put back on with some additional rock added because of the smaller opening. The price? Even with all the extra labor and the additional rock and a nicer stove, the price was several hundred dollars under the competition. You might chalk this up to a company working very hard to earn your business . . . and the work was beautifully done.

2. Customer Service . . . Great stove, but after about 12 to 18 months, one of the blowers (fans) went out, and I paid to have it replaced. This year, the other blower failed and that was followed by the replaced blower failing as well. The culprit, a faulty switch in the stove not feeding enough power to the blowers. The solution . . . a new switch and 2 new blowers (expensive). Of course, the stove was out of warranty, so you know exactly what the manufacture was going to do . . . nothing. But Brad at Glenco called me and said they would stand behind the product they sell and they would replace the switch and both blowers and their expense. Talk about customer service. I rated them 5 star only because they don’t have a place for a 10!

A recent emergency, unrelated to

A recent emergency, unrelated to our Glenco installed Regency fireplace, forced shutting off all utilities, including electricity and gas, to our house for several weeks. Sub-freezing temperatures quickly became a major concern. Despite an extremely busy schedule this time of year, Glenco was there for us in record time to restore our fireplace to a safe and normal operation providing much needed heat, and peace of mind, when we needed it most. Glenco’s care and professionalism in addressing this exceptional situation make this local company stand out in a crowded marketplace. Brad Mauldin and his team are good people you can count on.

I’ve dealt with Glenco Fireplaces

I’ve dealt with Glenco Fireplaces since their beginning on all my personal homes as well as client’s homes. They always deliver a great product from budget vent free gas units to high-end contemporary units as well as outdoor units. You won’t go wrong with Glenco.

Our gas logs were not

Our gas logs were not burning properly, lighting them was a chore and the pilot light kept going out. Glenco sent a service tech, Josh, to trouble shoot. Josh determined that cleaning was all that was necessary. Logs burning great and warm during a cold, rainy day. Josh did a great job! I strongly recommend for great product support.

Pam was very knowledgeable and helpful with exploring options of removing our existing ventless fireplace and installing a direct vent unit. The showroom was well played out with a wide range of sizes and options. They are only open on weekday business hours so it took us a while to coordinate schedules. I couldn’t be more pleased with Glenco. We were looking to replace an existing fireplace, and in the process insulate the chimney chase and install a new mantle and stone veneer. While Glenco could not directly provide all of these services through their staff, Jeremy coordinated everything so well that it felt like they did everything. They scheduled excellent contractors for the tear out, insulation, gas, electrical and stone work. The fireplace itself is awesome, and Glenco was quick to respond when we had a service issue. Bravo, guys! You made it possible for us to fix a draft and update our living room all in one shot. I highly recommend Glenco for their customer service and for going above and beyond to meet our needs.

Visited Glenco Fireplaces to determine if we should replace two traditional wood burning fireplaces in our home. Spoke with Pam who is very knowledgeable. The staff took my firebox dimensions and recommended the proper sizing given the model that interested us. TJ installed the two gas log sets yesterday. TJ is a nice young man and very professional and courteous. TJ handled the installation in a very professional way. The logs fit perfectly and look great. We are now ready to use the gas logs if & when the chilly weather returns.
